Happy Dragon Year!

Tuesday, January 24, 2012

Today is this second day of Chinese New Year! Gong Xi Fa Cai to all of you! May the Year of Dragon brings you abundance of health, luck, wealth, love and happiness!

Has been so busy for the past one week prior to this festive season which explains why there is no posts up in My Craft Tree. Was busy helping mum to bake cookies, cleaning up my house, and working on a new handbag for myself.

Tala, here it is:-

My very first handbag and its mate - coin purse from Potato House :)

Though it is not perfect, but I still feel so satisfied and proud of it as this is my first handmade bag, all by myself.

Happy New Year 2012!
Though there has been lots of predictions and rumors that the world is coming to an end in Year 2012, it does not bother me much. No matter what, life goes on. And I always believed that what is predicted usually would not happen.

To welcome this New Year, I gave myself a small little gift. A coin purse that I learn from Potato House. I just completed this coin purse. I added a small embelishment to it - a wooden Sue button. :)

Though it is not perfect, the shape is a bit slanted, the stitches are not very tidy and my quilting is not nice too, I still love it a lot as every stitch is filled with passion and love. Give me some time, there will room for improvement.

May Year 2012 would be a wonderful year for all of us. May it fill with joy, laughter, happiness and health!

Happy New Year!

Baby booties are very cute and they are essential for every new-born. Some people prefer crochet baby booties as they are stretchable and breathable.

Thank You

Tuesday, April 12, 2011

How do you say "Thank You" to those you have helped you? Well, besides saying "Thank You" aloud to them, you can actually shower them with a handmade with Love "Thank You" card.

This is how my mum gave it to her colleagues when she retired. On her last day of service, her beloved colleagues throw a farewell party for her. She felt so honored and decided to buy a "Thank You" card. My brother-in-law immediately thought of, to show your sincerity, why not give them a customized handmade card?

I appreciate his creativity in putting the nurse's cap on the card as my mum is a nurse.

This "Thank You" is selling at RM8.00. Quite an affordable price for a custom made card, isn't it?

A BIG Thank You to all my visitors and friends for paying My Craft Tree a visit.
